It’s official. We have Derby fever around here. Get ready for the 136th Running of the Kentucky Derby with a one-of-a-kind creation from Australian Master Milliner Paris Kyne. We’ve made a few of the artist’s creations available here or visit the Shop at 21c Museum Hotel for a larger selection.

Not totally comfortable wearing a fabulous hat? Paris suggests, “Always wear a hat on a rakish angle, and with attitude. When you have enough attitude the world is your creamee brulea.”

Shayne Hull: Opening

Friday, January 22nd, 2010

Congratulations to Shayne Hull on the opening of his show Alterations at Swanson Reed Gallery. Until February 20.

“When I began this photo-based series, I just wanted to experiment and have fun. I didn’t have a clear vision on how it would turn out. What happened with each piece was a series of transformations and manipulations that gradually started to obliterate the image, hide or disguise it, alter it.”
-Shayne Hull (Excerpt from Artist Statement)

“An innovative concept with strong execution and prompt and enthusiastic service.”
– Pableaux Johnson, New York Times
